Interpol announce comeback tour dates

Gig-run begins in New York on June 21

Interpol have announced details of their first tour since 2008.

Kicking off in Rochester, New York on June 21, the 15-date jaunt will end in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on July 24.

The shows will coincide with the group’s previously announced support slots on U2’s North American tour.

The band, who are gearing up for the release of the follow-up to 2007’s ‘Our Love To Admire’, will hit the road without bassist Carlos Dengler, who recently quit the band.

Meanwhile, Interpol have released a track from their new album sessions, ‘Lights’, as a free download, and said they expected to preview more material soon.
