Interpol herald return with free download of new song ‘Lights’

Band promise more songs and live dates soon

Interpol have released a brand new song for free.

‘Lights’, taken from sessions for their fourth album, is available from the band’s official site

According to the band, the song will be the first of several to be released in the next few months.

“We’re stirring,” the band wrote on a mailout to fans. “We want to show you something. And make sure you come back soon. We will be posting important information and dates in the coming weeks.”

Interpol have been working on the follow-up to 2007’s ‘Our Love To Admire’ in New York and London, and are believed to be finalising release plans for an album later this year.

According to frontman Paul Banks, Interpol’s new record will have an orchestra feel.
