INXS have confirmed the tracklisting for their 42-song compendium ‘SHINE LIKE IT DOES: THE INXS ANTHOLOGY(1979-1997)’, to be released on June 5 through RHINO RECORDS.
The anthology includes the band’s first single, ‘Simple Simon’, as well as older, hard to find tracks from the Australian band’s early days, including ‘We Are The Vegetables’, ‘Just Keep Walking’, ‘The Loved One’ and ‘Stay Young’.
The band become one of the most successful Australian rock exports in history with ’80s albums such as ‘Listen Like Thieves’ and the globally massive ‘Kick’. In November 1997 INXS singer Michael Hutchence was found hanged in a Sydney hotel bedroom.
The compilation comes as the band – now fronted by former Noiseworks singer Jon Stevens – prepare to launch a US summer tour with fellow Aussie rockers Midnight Oil and Men At Work.
INXS‘ last attempt to tour after the death of Hutchence, a handful of dates in New Zealand last year, was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
