And it's their highest revenue in nine years…
APPLE have announced new figures which show IPOD sales are up by 500 per cent.
Since their emergence in 2001, iPods have come to account for 50 per cent of the digital music player market.
Apple reported a net profit of $106million (£60million) for their fourth quarter compared with $44million (£25million) for the same quarter the previous year.
“We are thrilled to report our highest fourth quarter revenue in nine years,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.
The news comes as speculation mounts over the possible launch of a new iPod model with a colour screen and 50 per cent more storage.
