Iron Maiden will play the annual festival in Brazil, returning after a 15-year absence. The band originally played to 250,000 people at the 1985 event.
Speaking to the official Rock In Rio website, [url=]www.rockinrio.americaonline.com.br, Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson said: “Performing in a festival like Rock in Rio is a great honour and emotion, since we gave a fantastic concert back in ’85. The Brazilian audience has a load of energy you can’t find nowhere else in the world.”
The next annual Rock In Rio festival will take place between January 12-14 and 18-21 in the Rock City, Rio de Janeiro. In addition to the bands already confirmed for the event, more will be added as the date of the festival approaches. Fans also have the opportunity to vote for which artist they would like to see play via the official festival website.
