Isle Of Wight/Download festival weather reports – three days to go

Will it rain or shine at the two festivals?

With both the Isle Of Wight Festival and Download Festival set to take place this weekend (June 12-15), weather service Met Check is predicting whether fans will need to stock up on suntan lotion or dig out their wellies for the events.

At present (June 9), Met Check states that Isle Of Wight Festival-goers are set for a dry weekend, with the only light rain forecast for Friday (June 12) afternoon.

Although wind and cloud are likely to cause a drop in temperature throughout Friday, the Saturday and Sunday of the festival are set to peak around the 22 degrees Celsius mark.

Similarly, Download Festival (taking place at Donington Park in Derby) is also forecast dry weather for the majority of the weekend, with the only rain likely to strike lightly on the Sunday (June 15).

Temperatures at the metal festival are slightly lower than those at the Isle Of Wight Festival, however, peaking at around 19 degrees Celsius.

However organisers have already warned fans to bring wellies and waterproofs via Twitter, suggesting that the site might be muddy due to previous rainfall.

NME.COM will be bringing you coverage of both festivals on NME.COM/festivals all weekend.
