The Bloc Party frontman's second solo LP comes out on October 13

Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke is currently streaming his second solo album, ‘Trick’.

Visit The Guardian to listen to the album, which follows the 2010 release of ‘The Boxer’ and sees the singer return to dance music after reuniting Bloc Party and releasing ‘Four’ with the band in 2012.

Kele will release ‘Trick’ on October 13 via his own Lilac Records label (via Kobalt Label Services).

The ‘Trick’ tracklisting is:

‘First Impressions’
‘Coasting’
‘Doubt’
‘Closer’
‘Like We Used To’
‘Humour Me’
‘Year Zero’
‘My Hotel Room’
‘Silver and Gold’
‘Stay the Night’

Kele will play a gig at Jack Rocks The Macbeth in London to celebrate the release of the record. Jack Daniel’s, in association with NME and Spotify, is taking over Hoxton music venue The Macbeth to create a new hub for shows from bands big and small, as well as workshops and Q&As. The show will see the Bloc Party frontman perform in front of just 250 fans on October 13.

Speaking about his plans for playing songs from ‘Trick’ live, Kele tells NME: “With the live show, we’re going to try something different with how the songs are performed. It’s an experiment. It’s not a classic gig performance at the moment, it’s going to be more of a DJ set experience. I’ll be performing and singing but it’s going to be quite seamlessly edited together. It’s something I’ve never really done before.”
