Jack White covers Dean Fertita’s ‘Parallel’ – listen

Fertita recently joined White's live band

Jack White has covered new bandmate Dean Fertita’s song ‘Parallel’. Stream the track below, via Spotify, now.

The cover comes as the B-Side to new single ‘Would You Fight For My Love?’ and sees White take on the Fertita song, which was co-written by White’s Raconteurs bandmate Brendan Benson and dates back to 2009.

Dean Fertita is currently playing live as part of White’s band following the death of Isaiah ‘Ikey’ Owens, who passed away last month. Owens plays on the song, which was recorded before his death.

Pianist and keyboard player Owens died earlier in October while on tour in Mexico. He was a Grammy award-winning musician who played keyboards in Jack White‘s band and also performed with The Mars Volta. He died of a heart attack.

Dean Fertita (pictured above, second from the left) also plays with Queens of the Stone Age.
