The roundtable discussion will focus on blues and jazz label Paramount Records
Jack White is set to speak at Yale University.
The frontman will appear at the prestigious establishment in in New Haven, Connecticut on October 28, taking part in a roundtable discussion entitled ‘Exploring the Rise and Fall of Paramount Records’, which will also include music journalist Greil Marcus and Dean and Scott Blackwood from Revenant Records. The talk comes ahead of the release of the second part of ‘The Rise & Fall of Paramount Records’ boxset, released via Third Man and Revenant on November 18.
The first part came out last year, comprising songs from the old jazz and blues label. Established in 1917, Paramount Records was home to artists such as Louis Armstrong, Ma Rainey, Fletcher Henderson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver and Ethel Walters.
Jack White will play three UK arena shows in November. The former White Stripes frontman will play Leeds First Direct Arena on November 17, Glasgow SSE Hydro on November 18 and London O2 Arena on November 19.
