Jack Whitehall to present BRIT Awards for the third year running

Jack is back...

Jack Whitehall will return to host the BRIT Awards for the third year in a row.

After hosting the ceremony in 2018 and 2019, the London comedian will return to host the ceremony once more on Tuesday 18 February at London’s O2 Arena.

He said of the news: “I’m delighted to be back hosting the BRITs for a third time! I’m excited for another night of trying not to put my foot in it in front of the biggest names in the music industry.”

His third stint as host comes after he was slammed as “disrespectful” for making a close-to-the-knuckle gag about Little Mix in 2019.

After the pop group performed recent single ‘Woman Like Me’, Whitehall quipped: “Dads up and down the country are awkwardly fumbling for a scatter cushion right now.”

Elsewhere, the ceremony saw The 1975 scooping gongs for Best British Group and Best British Album.

Yesterday also saw nominations announced for the Brits Rising Star award, which was formerly known as the Critics’ Choice Award.

Celeste, Beabadobee and Joy Crookes are all in contention for the coveted award, which is given to artists who are tipped for huge success in the coming year.

Past winners include Sam Smith, Adele, Ellie Goulding, Jorja Smith and most recently Sam Fender – who went straight to No 1 with his debut album Hypersonic Missiles.
