Jake Bugg has revealed the thought-provoking video for new single, ‘Gimme The Love’.
‘Gimme The Love’ is the first single from Bugg’s new album ‘On My One’, set for release June 17.
The video shows Bugg sporting a threatening look in an underground warehouse, showing a fight scene under flickering lights.
The video was directed by Michael Holyk, who also shot the more upbeat, video for 2012 single ‘Trouble Town’.
Bugg spoke about the process of recording his third album, suggesting the meaning behind title ‘On My One’: “It’s been quite lonely making this record by myself. But I saw it as something I needed to do to develop as a songwriter.
“In a lot of ways it sums up this record because it mainly has been on my own.”
Bugg’s 2012 self-titled debut went double platinum and his follow-up ‘Shangri La’ went into the top five in 2013.
