Jake Bugg heads back in time for ‘Love, Hope and Misery’ video – watch

Taken from new album 'On My One'

Jake Bugg has revealed the video for new single ‘Love, Hope and Misery’.

The video takes its influence from Bill Withers’ 1972 performance of ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ on The Old Grey Whistle Test. It was directed by Michael Holyk, who previously helmed the video for Bugg’s ‘Gimme The Love’.

Both ‘Love, Hope and Misery’ and ‘Gimme The Love’ appear on Bugg’s new album ‘On My One’, due for release on June 17. Bugg’s 2012 self-titled debut went double platinum and his follow-up ‘Shangri La’ went into the top five in 2013.

Bugg tours later this year. His first date will take place on October 18 at O2 Apollo Manchester. This will be followed by appearances at O2 Academy Glasgow (October 21) and O2 Academy Birmingham (October 24). Two dates in the north will take place at O2 Academy Leeds and Newcastle City Hall before the six-date tour concludes on November 1 at O2 Academy Brixton.
