The British singer releases debut album 'Chaos And The Calm' on March 23
James Bay has unveiled a live session performance of his track ‘Scars’.
The British singer’s debut album ‘Chaos And The Calm’ will be released next week (March 23), but first Bay has performed ‘Scars’ at the building that was previously home to legendary music venue CBGB. Watch below.
Meanwhile, Bay recently claimed that Ed Sheeran is a fan of his music. The Brit Awards Critics Choice winner said he bumped into Sheeran at last month’s ceremony on the red carpet.
He told The Sun: “I’d never met him before. And as kind as he is to all of those guys (the press), he was ignoring whoever he was supposed to be talking to, to talk to me. He was saying that he likes my stuff and was looking forward to hearing the album. That was really cool to hear.”
Bay also gave an update on his debut LP, comparing it with Damien Rice and The Rolling Stones.
He added: “This sounds like a debut album from someone having a go for the first time with songs they believe in and a load of different flavours and sounds. People have said my music reminds them of Damien Rice and others have compared songs to The Rolling Stones.
“I love that and I like the split-screen element to what I do. On this side you are looking at something very serene and mellow, then the next side, much heavier.”
