SEAN ‘PUFFY’ COMBS is to present an award to James Brown at the 31st annual ‘SONGWRITER HALL OF FAME INDUCTION AWARDS’ tomorrow (June 15) in NEW YORK.
It has been a troubled year for the singer, whose offices were destroyed by fire in April. Last month, a former employee, Richard Glenn, was charged with arson, theft and felony forgery.
The soullegend had to cancel his Guildford Festival appearance after a court date was set for July 19. Brown denies claims by ex-employee Lisa Ross Agbalaya that he boasted of his “bull testicles” and asked her to wear zebra-print underpants while he massaged her.
He has two UK appearances lined up at: London Brixton Academy (July 9) Essential Festival, Brighton (16)
