Jamie T beaten to Number One by George Ezra in Official Albums Chart

'Carry On The Grudge' enters at Number Four as Oasis and Prince also enter Top 10

George Ezra is Number One on the Official UK Albums Chart this week with his album ‘Wanted On Voyage’ beating new entry ‘Carry On The Grudge’ by Jamie T to the top spot.

Jamie T’s long-awaited third album entered at Number Four, having been Number One in the Midweek Update. Official Charts Company data shows that Oasis are new at Number Seven with the reissued version of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ while Prince and Genesis also earned new entries in the Top 10 with their albums ‘Art Official Age’ and ‘R-Kive’ respectively.

Prince‘s ‘Art Official Age’ is the US artist’s latest solo album. He released two albums last week (September 29), the second of which was a collaboration with girl band 3rdEYEGIRL. Their album ‘Plectrumelectrum’ entered the chart this week at Number 11.

Elsewhere in the Official Albums Chart there are five further new entries including Gerard Way (14), SBTRKT (16), Lucy Kay (18), Lucinda Williams (23), Marmozets (25), Abba (30) and The Levellers (32).

Meanwhile, the Number One spot on the Official Singles Chart belongs to Meghan Trainor and her single ‘All That Bass’. The single is Trainor’s first Number One in the UK. She previously became the first artist ever to enter the Top 40 on streams alone.

The other new entries on this week’s Official Singles Chart came from Magician (5), Labrinth (8), Ella Eyre (9), Gorgon City (13), Jessie Ware (16) and DJ Fresh (35).
