Jamie T plans big album finale at Glastonbury

'If you can't make people have fun at Glastonbury you should go home,' he says

Jamie T is planning to bring the curtain down on his album ‘Kings And Queens’ in style at Glastonbury this weekend.

The London singer-songwriter is headlining the John Peel Stage at the festival on Saturday night (June 26), and has revealed he’s planning to make the show extra special.

Jamie T told NME.COM: “This is the last hurrah for ‘Kings And Queens’ and I just want to have fun. If you can’t have fun at Glastonbury where can you have fun? If you can’t make people have fun at Glastonbury you should go home.”

However, he told me that he was relatively late on the Glastonbury secret: “It’s such a vibe down there. It took me a few years to understand it because I never went there as a punter. Last year was important to me because I walked around the festival for four hours before we played and finally noticed how fucking great it is. You’re part of a bigger entity.

“The thing about Glastonbury that’s lovely is it’s not your show, it’s not your thing. The atmosphere, though, is so immense that you can’t help but feel proud to be part of it.”
