Jane’s Addiction have cancelled their Leeds Festival show tonight (August 28) due to singer Perry Farrell‘s illness.
The band had been set to headline the NME/Radio 1 Stage at the Reading Festival last night, but cancelled at the last minute. They cited the severe swelling of singer Perry Farrell‘s (pictured right) vocal chords as the reason for the drop-out, and have now confirmed they won’t make it to Leeds either.
Last night the band’s guitarist Dave Navarro (pictured above) announced the cancellation from the stage. The band said in a statement today:
This morning in London his doctor determined that Perry Farrell‘s vocal condition remains unchanged from last night. Farrell has been ordered to not use his voice until further notice for risk of vocal damage. His condition remains day to day.
