JANE’S ADDICTION are in discussions to expand their reunion beyond a one-off show at the COACHELLA FESTIVAL to a full tour.
A source close to the band told MTV news that the band are “in discussions” with regard to expanding the shows beyond their already confirmed appearance at the US festival, alongside Fatboy Slim, Weezer and Iggy Pop on April 28.
The band will play a warm-up date at the Santa Barbara Bowl on April 26, their first live appearance in three years. The band will feature Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea in place of original member Eric Avery.
The source said: “Perry [Farrell] and Dave [Navarro] are very passionate about making it happen… It’s going to be fantastic. I’m hoping it will go into more shows and be a tour, but we’re really excited about it.”
The band’s management confirmed that more live shows were a possibility, but it is currently unclear whether any future dates would include European gigs.
