Janet Jackson is reported to have “slapped” her niece Paris during an altercation at the Jackson family compound on Monday (June 23).
Yesterday (June 24), it was reported that police had been called to Katherine Jackson’s California home after an alleged physical altercation between two people at the property. Nobody was arrested but LA sheriff Steve Whitmore confirmed that the incident remains under investigation as a possible battery.
TMZ has now reported that the incident involved Janet Jackson and her niece Paris, the teenage daughter of the late Michael Jackson. The incident is said to have taken place after Janet and her brothers Randy and Jermaine reportedly entered the compound without permission and attempted to “strong-arm” Michael Jackson’s three children into a vehicle.
Sources told TMZ that the Jackson siblings wanted to take Michael’s children – 15-year-old Prince, 14-year-old Paris and 10-year-old Blanket – to Arizona to visit their grandmother Katherine, who has acted as their caretaker since their father’s death in 2009.
Janet Jackson is said to have tried to seize Paris’ mobile phone, prompting a “scuffle” in which she reportedly slapped her teenage niece and told her: “You’re a spoiled little bitch.” Paris is said to have given her aunt a retaliatory slap and told her: “This is our house. Not the Jackson family house. Get the fuck out!”
TMZ also reported that Trent Jackson used violence to halt an altercation between Randy and Jermaine, reportedly putting Randy into a headlock and punching Jermaine in the mouth. Trent is said to have filed a missing persons report for Katherine Jackson on Saturday (July 21) after Michael’s children claimed not to have seen their grandmother for a week.
Jermaine Jackson subsequently released a statement insisting that the family matriarch is “safe and well” and staying with her daughter Rebbie in Arizona, where she is “resting up” on doctor’s advice.
