The stars make a second attempt to go on a joint tour...

JAY-Z and R KELLY are making a second attempt to tour the US together.

The North American tour kicks off on September 30 in Chicago and is expected to take in 40 cities before winding up in Phoenix on November 28.

Jay-Z said: “We want to reach the people that feel our music and that feel us and that love us, because we get onstage and return their love.”

The urban giants recorded an album together in 2002, ‘The Best Of Both Worlds’ and planned to tour following its release. However, plans were put on ice after R Kelly’s arrest on multiple child pornography charges. The case is still pending.

R Kelly releases a new single, ‘Happy People’, on September 30.
