Jay-Z says he has no intention of ending his feud with Robert De Niro

The rapper and actor reportedly fell out last year following an argument at Leonardo DiCaprio's birthday party

Jay-Z has confirmed that he has fallen out with the actor Robert De Niro and that he has no intention of making up with him.

The pair are rumoured to have fallen out over an incident at Leonardo DiCaprio’s 38th birthday party when De Niro approached Jay-Z and chastised him for failing to return his calls about a project he wanted the rapper to be involved with. Confirming that he does not see eye to eye with the Taxi Driver actor, Jay-Z said in a recent interview with Power 105.1 radio station in New York that: “I treat people based on who they are… who they really are. Not the name, not Robert De Niro, like, you know, who you are as a person.”

The ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ rapper continued: “It doesn’t matter who you are, everyone has to be respectful and everyone has to be a human being. No one is above. That’s just the end of it and that’s how I carry it with anybody.”

Jay-Z spoke to the radio station prior to his performance at an art gallery in New York, in which he performed his song ‘Picasso Baby’ for six hours straight. The stunt took place in order to create a video for the song with Girls actor Adam Driver, Judd Apatow and artist Marina Abramovic all in attendance at the shoot.

Jay-Z is currently on course to have his first Number One album in the UK this weekend with ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ comfortably outselling its nearest rival, Michael Bublé’s ‘To Be Loved.’ The album is set to be Jay-Z’s eighth top 40 hit in total. Jay-Z’s previous highest charting album was in 2011 when ‘Watch The Throne’, a collaborative album with Kanye West, hit Number Three.
