JAY-Z has recorded nine songs in two days for his new album – with sources close to the rapper suggesting he is using the lyrics to launch attacks on a number of his rivals.
Jay-Z‘s business partner Damon Dash told MTV news that work continues at pace on the rapper’s forthcoming new album, due for release in the summer. He claimed that his burst of creativity came because “some cats got him mad”.
He said: ” Jay did nine songs in two days. Some cats got him mad, and I can’t hold him back”.
It remains unclear who the rap star’s lyrics will target, although recent releases by both Jayo Felony and Mobb Deep‘s Prodigy are thought to have made indirect references to the rapper.
