Beyonce and Jay Z have ‘finished’ joint album that will ‘address marriage speculation’

Couple are reportedly going to deny divorce rumours with Tidal exclusive

Beyonce and Jay-Z will reportedly address the state of their marriage on their first joint album.

The couple are reported by The New York Post to have finished their album, which has been rumoured to be in the works since 2014.

It is believed that the album will discuss their marital issues, which first became public in the lyrics of Beyonce’s recent album ‘Lemonade’. Several songs on ‘Lemonade’ appear to refer to accusations of infidelity directed at Jay Z in the press.

Neither musician has since discussed the album’s lyrics and The NY Post claims that the couple will instead discuss their issues on the joint album. An unnamed source is quoted by the paper as saying: ”Jay and Beyonce were never going to do an interview to discuss the questions that came up after ‘Lemonade’. It’s more their style to respond through music.”

It’s also reported that the album will be released exclusively through Tidal, which is part-owned by Jay Z. ‘Lemonade’ was only available through Tidal for 48 hours, but has since become available on iTunes as well as a CD release.

Neither Beyonce or Jay Z have responded to the claims.

Beyonce and Jay Z have released nine official songs together, starting with ’03 Bonnie And Clyde’ on Jay Z’s 2002 album ‘The Blueprint 2: The Gift And The Curse’ and most recently on the 2013 collaborations ‘Drunk In Love’ and ‘Part 2 (On The Run)’.

Detail, who co-produced ‘Drunk In Love’, revealed in February that he was working on the joint album. He said: Me, Beyonce and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year. When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think ‘album’. You should already know.”

The state of Minnesota declared this week that yesterday (May 23) was Beyonce Day in honour of her concert in Minneapolis, which then had to be delayed by 45 minutes due to a lightning storm near the TCF Bank Stadium.
