Jay-Z hoping to collaborate with Coldplay’s Chris Martin on new album

Rapper thinks Martin is 'one of the geniuses of our generation'

Jay-Z is hoping to collaborate with Coldplay‘s Chris Martin on his new album.

The rapper, whose last album was 2009’s ‘The Blueprint 3’, previously worked with Martin on his 2006 track ‘Beach Chair’ and on Coldplay‘s song ‘Lost+’.

”He’s [Martin’s] a brother from another mother,” Jay-Z told BBC.co.uk. “I see him more than my own brother. Actually, I do.”

He added: “[He’s] one of the geniuses of our generation. Any time you can collaborate with that sort of genius, you jump at the chance, I don’t care who you are.”

Jay-Z and Coldplay are set to play an invite-only show tomorrow night (December 31) at Las Vegas’ Cosmopolitan casino and resort.
