Timbaland to support Jay Z at UK and Ireland dates next month

Pair fell out back in 2009 but have since reconciled

Timbaland has been announced as support act on the European leg of Jay-Z‘s ‘Magna Carter World Tour’.

Timbaland’s guest stint will include all eight of Jay Z’s UK and Ireland dates, which take place from October 3-14 and culminate in a four-night run at London’s O2 Arena.

The pair fell out during the making of Jay Z’s 2009 album ‘The Blueprint 3’ but have since reconciled and Timbaland produced a sizeable portion of the rapper’s latest album ‘Magna Carter Holy Grail’, which debuted at Number One on the UK’s Official Albums Chart in July.

Speaking over the summer, Jay Z revealed why he and Timbaland fell out during 2009, blaming the tiff on Timbaland’s ego. “It seemed like it was more about him than the actual album. When you go and make an album, you have to put all ego aside… he wasn’t accepting of that thing and that was almost the last straw type of thing, and we just went our separate ways,” Jay Z recalled.

Meanwhile, Timbaland appears on and produced ‘TKO’, the new single from Justin Timberlake which was unveiled earlier today (September 20).

Jay-Z and Timbaland will play:

Manchester Arena (October 3,4)
Dublin O2 Arena (6)
Birmingham NIA Arena (8)
London O2 Arena (10, 11, 12, 14)
