Jack White to release Jay-Z’s ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ on vinyl

Rapper suggests Third Man Records will put on an extended version of the album

Jay-Z has confirmed that Jack White will be putting out the vinyl version of his new album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’, which was officially released on Monday (July 8).

When asked by a fan during a Twitter Q&A why the track ‘Open Letter’ was left off the album, he replied that the track would be on the vinyl edition of the album, which would be “handled” by Jack White. Jack White’s Third Man Records recently put out Jay-Z’s soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby on gold and platinum vinyl.

The rapper, who last month claimed he had reached his “yearly allotment” of Tweets and promised not to resume tweeting until at least 2014, broke his silence to answer a wide range of questions posed by fans, including what his favourite cereal is and his thoughts on new album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’, which was pre-released on July 4 via a special app for Samsung Galaxy users. He also revealed that he is a fan of James Blake.
