Jay-Z tops hip-hop rich list

Nicki Minaj is the only female artist in the Top 20

Jay-Z has topped Forbes magazine’s Hip-Hop Cash Kings rich list for the fourth year in a row.

The co-creator of the new ‘Watch The Throne’ album earned a stonking $37 million (£22.7 million) last year, whilst his fellow Throne man Kayne West was in third place – behind Diddy – with earnings of $16 million (£9.8 million) over the past 12 months.

Just one woman made the Top 20 list of the highest earners in hip-hop, Nicki Minaj, who has pulled in $6.5 million (£3.9 million) in the past year.
