Listen to Jeff Buckley’s unreleased cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘Just Like A Woman’

Rarities album 'You And I' to be released in March

An unreleased Jeff Buckley cover of Bob Dylan has been released online.

The song, a studio rendition of ‘Just Like A Woman’, will feature on ‘You and I’, a new album of unheard Buckley material, due for release on March 11.

The tracks on ‘You and I’ were discovered in the Sony Music archives while staff at the label researched the 20th anniversary edition of Buckley’s album ‘Grace’.

Most of the songs were recorded in February 1993 at Steve Addabbo’s Shelter Island Sound studio and include takes on songs by The Smiths, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, plus others.

The album features two pieces of original music: the first-ever studio recording of ‘Grace’ and ‘Dream of You and I’, a song described as “mysterious and haunting” in a press release.

‘You and I’ has been overseen by the artist’s mother, Mary Guibert with the performances never bootlegged or released to the public in any form.
