Jeff Buckley‘s posthumously released album ‘Sketches – (For My Sweetheart The Drunk)’ can be heard on a live internet broadcast this Friday (May 1).
The entire album – featuring songs from the Tom Verlaine-produced sessions that Buckley was working on at the time of his Mississippi River drowning last year – will be aired on www.jeffbuckley.com this Friday at 9pm EDT.
The album broadcast will also feature the track ‘Gunshot Glitter’, a song not available on US versions of the forthcoming LP. ‘Sketches…’ is to be released through Columbia Records on May 12 internationally and on May 26 in the United States.
Meanwhile, Buckley’s mother, Mary Guibert, is compiling material from her son’s Australian concert tours for a live album to be released before the end of this year.
