After eight weeks, the Fab Four's '1' compilation is finally toppled from the summit...
JENNIFER LOPEZ’ new album ‘J. LO’ has knocked THE BEATLES greatest hits compilation ‘1’ off the top of the US album charts after an eight-week reign.
The actress and singer’s album sold over 272,000 copies in its first week of sale, knocking The Beatles off the top spot for the first time in almost two months. Unsurprisingly, ‘J. Lo’ has also topped the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Album Chart, knocking former Number One, ‘Hotshot’ by Shaggy, down one place.
If this wasn’t enough success for Lopez, her new film ‘The Wedding Planner’, in which she co-stars with Matthew McConaughey, has grossed $14 million in its first week in America, topping the US Box Office chart, according to Reuters.
