The Brit Award nominated 'Devotion' singer tours the UK next month
Jessie Ware has admitted to screaming in Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling‘s face when she saw him recently at a music store in San Francisco.
The Brit Award and Mercury Prize nominated London singer said she spotted Gosling browsing records after she played an in-store show at Amoeba Records in San Francisco.
Ware told Spinner: “My sister was like, ‘Oh there’s Ryan Gosling,’ but kind of jokingly because we thought it was just a lookalike, but it was definitely him.”
She added: “I don’t think he was there for my in-store, though, I think he was just there to buy music. So we just kind of screamed in his face and walked off, it was really embarrassing, but he was so good looking.”
The ‘Devotion’ singer also responded to comments recently made by rapper A$AP Rocky, who said of Ware: “I’m going to work with her. I want to bad. I don’t care about her being a star, I just think she has a beautiful voice and a lot of talent. I haven’t got the chance or honour to meet her yet – I just love her art.”
Ware said: “It was such a compliment. I haven’t met him yet, but I’d be really up for working with him.”
She added that she’d also love to work with Frank Ocean and Kanye West. She tours the UK next month.
