Jet frontman Nic Cester is set to go against doctor’s orders by joining his band to play an acoustic gig in London tonight (August 12) – and has asked for an ambulance to be on standby.
The singer with the Aussie rockers was hospitalised on Monday night (August 10) after collapsing during a gig in the UK capital. He spent the night in University College Hospital and was treated for symptoms of gastroenteritis, acute vomiting and dehydration.
According to the band’s spokesperson, Cester will fulfill his commitments playing the This Feeling club night at Parker McMillan, but will take a member of medical staff along in tow.
The band have also asked promoters if they can provide an ambulance on standby.
As well as the ambulance request, Jet have also asked for extra bottled water to help the frontman avoid dehydration during the show.
Jet are scheduled to play the V Festival which takes place on August 22 and 23.
