A host of music films are set to screen at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.
All Is By My Side, the Jimi Hendrix biopic – featuring Outkast‘s Andre 3000 as the iconic guitarist – will receive its US premiere at the festival, while Sheffield: Sex City, about Pulp‘s final show in 2012, SVDDXNLY, about A$AP Rocky, and American Interior, about Super Furry Animals’ frontman Gruff Rhys, will all have their world premieres at the event.
The film portion of SXSW takes place from March 7-15. God Help the Girl, which is directed by Belle and Sebastian’s Stuart Murdoch, will also be shown, as will The Possibilities Are Endless, which tells the story of the stroke and subsequent recovery of Edwyn Collins.
The music leg of SXSW takes place in various venues from March 11-16, and will see sets from Action Bronson, Cherry Glazerr, Chlöe Howl, East India Youth, The Family Rain, Fat White Family, Gang Of Youths, Angel Olsen, The Orwells, Perfect Pussy, San Fermin, Superfood, Sharon Van Etten, Diarrhea Planet, John Newman, Spires, Wolf Alice, Drenge, London Grammar and Bring Me The Horizon.
