Joanna Newsom performed a cover of Harry Nilsson’s ‘He Needs Me’ during a Los Angeles screening of Punch-Drunk Love.

The song appeared on the soundtrack of the 2002 film directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Anderson recently worked with Newsom on the music videos for ’Sapokanikan’ and ‘Divers’ from her new album. Newsom also appeared in, and narrated, Anderson’s 2014 film Inherent Vice.
