Bjork had her orchestra - but Joe's got Brian May and Bryan Adams...

Clash founder JOE STRUMMER is to play LONDON’s ROYAL OPERA HOUSE when the venue throws open its doors to its first ever rock gig on November 10.

Strummer and his Mescaleros will be joined by Bryan Adams and former Queen guitarist Brian May in a fundraiser for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.

Actors Jeremy Irons and Terence Stamp will also be on hand to give readings throughout the Covent Garden event.

However, old punks wishing to relive former glories will have to dig deep. Tickets for the show will cost up to £250.
