John Mayer has publicly slammed his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, going as far to curse the day she was born.
The guitarist and solo star dated the ‘1989’ sensation from November 2009 to February 2010, with it claimed that Swift’s track ‘Dear John’ is about their relationship.
Responding the song, Mayer later told Rolling Stone: “It made me feel terrible, because I didn’t deserve it. I’m pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do… it’s abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, ‘wait till he gets a load of this!'”
It seems all is still not forgiven, after Mayer took to Twitter on Swift’s birthday to post in a since deleted Tweet “Tuesday, December 13 may be the lamest day of the year, conceptually.”
He then appeared to denied that this was a criticism of Swift and distance himself when he posted “NOPE. No. Nuh-uh. People I am 39. I am deleting those tweets. Come right at me for doing so. Absolutely no shade.”

John Mayer and Taylor Swift
Their relationship was recently the subject of a joke on Family Guy. When asked why she writes so many break-up songs, Swift’s character said: “I always do this. I ruin relationships with nice guys and John Mayer just so I can write songs about heartbreak and moving on.”
Meanwhile, Swift recently unveiled a new duet with Zayn Malik – with ‘I Don’t Wanna Live Forever‘ taken from the soundtrack to the new ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ movie.
