STEPHEN KING has written a horror musical, and has teamed up with John Mellencamp as musical director of the project.
According to reports in the New York Post, the musical is set in a cabin in the woods, and relates the tale of two brothers who hate each other and two dead uncles, who share a similar mutual dislike. It is slated to open in New York next autumn.
The prince of spooky books is forging ahead with the project despite the disastrous performance of the musical version of ‘Carrie’, which closed after just five shows on Broadway, losing $8 million.
