Undertones have announced they will not be re-releasing ‘TEENAGE KICKS’ in tribute to JOHN PEEL.

The track, cited as the late DJ’s favourite of all time, was said to be a contender for the Christmas Number One slot, with odds of 14/1 last Thursday (October 28).

However, the band’s manager Andy Ferguson has said that despite the media speculation, it will not be re-released as a single.

“It would be totally inappropriate to release ‘Teenage Kicks’ as a single and is not something the band would even consider,” he said.
