Noel Gallagher will join Johnny Marr onstage at the London date on his UK tour this week, according to a source.
Marr will headline O2 Academy Brixton on Thursday (October 23) as part of a tour promoting the former Smiths member’s recently released ‘Playland’ album. A source close to Marr tells NME that Gallagher is set to join him at some point in the set.
Noel Gallagher recently announced that Marr will appear on his own new solo album ‘Chasing Yesterday’. The album will be released on March 2, 2015 under the name of Noel Gallagher & The High Flying Birds with Marr appearing on the closing track, which will be the second single from the album.
“He’s a very enthusiastic artist and I tried to get him to play on ‘What A Life’,” Gallagher said when announcing the album. “He’s a truly great guitarist and he has something that nobody else has. He’s amazing, a top man.”
