JONATHAN KING has been arrested in connection with alleged sex offences, it has been reported in the UK press this morning (November 24).
According to The Sun, the millionaire pop mogul was arrested yesterday at his home in London after “months of research and information-gathering by the Serious Sex Offences Unit of the National Criminal Intelligence Service”.
A spokesperson confirmed that a 55-year-old man had been arrested in connection with serious sexual assaults and was in police custody.
King had been a figure in the pop industry since the 1960’s, finding chart success with his own hits ‘Una Paloma Blanca’ and ‘Everyone’s Gone To The Moon’ and ‘Leap Up And Down (Wave Your Knickers In The Air)’. He discovered acts including 10CC and Genesis, and had a career throughout the ’70s and ’80s as a DJ, newspaper columnist and TV presenter.
