Joss Stone ‘comforted’ by Robbie Williams after ‘kidnap’ plot drama

Take That man has been 'cheering up' soul singer after her ordeal, apparently

Robbie Williams has been comforting Joss Stone after her ‘kidnap’ plot ordeal earlier this week, according to one of the tabs.

The Take That man invited the soul singer to the group’s gig at Cardiff Millennium Stadium on Thursday (June 16) in a bid to cheer her up, reports The Sun.

A ‘source’ told the newspaper: “She’s still in shock but Robbie did his best to put a smile back on her face. His cheeky chappy side was in overdrive when they met up after the gig.”

The mole also claimed that Stone attempted to make light of the ordeal, even joking that it’s “been like an episode of Midsomer Murders.”

The plot to kidnap and rob Stone was thwarted on Monday (13) when two men were arrested by police after being discovered outside the singer’s Devon home with swords, rope and a body bag in their possession.

A note that read ‘find a river to dump her in’ was found among the possessions of Stone’s would-be attackers .

The suspects, who are Kevin Liverpool, who is 33, and Junior Bradshaw, aged 30, both from Manchester, appeared at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (16), but only to confirm their names.

Both men have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. They have been remanded in custody and will appear again in court on July 1.

Stone has since said she is “doing fine” after the ordeal.
