Julian Casablancas and his band The Voidz have shared what appears to be a mock trailer clip for a fictional movie.

Uploading a video to YouTube on Monday (July 13), the clip shows Casablancas and his bandmates starring in a film allegedly called Supermind God Rupture.

However, as Stereogum confirm, no such film actually exists.

Julian Casablancas + The Voidz released their debut album ‘Tyranny’ in September 2014.

Casablancas’ other band The Strokes recently played their first London show in five years, headlining Hyde Park on June 18.

The returning New York five-piece performed songs from their five studio albums, a collection of fan favourites and classic singles, but no new material.

Closing the show with ‘Take It Or Leave It’, frontman Casablancas told the crowd “This has been so fun. Be safe, but not too safe.”

Julian Casablancas recently revealed that the band are working on new music together, following their last album ‘Comedown Machine’ in 2013.
