The Strokes frontman performed the new track with his band on 'The Noite com Danilo Gentili'
Julian Casablancas + The Voidz performed a brand new song, ‘Wink’, on a late-night Brazilian TV show earlier this week – watch footage of the performance below.
The Strokes frontman has resumed duties with his side project The Voidz after the band made their live comeback last month at a secret show in LA. The five-piece are thought to be currently working on their second album, which will follow their 2014 debut LP.
With Casablancas + The Voidz currently in South America for a run of live dates, the band dropped in on the Brazilian TV show The Noite com Danilo Gentili on Wednesday (October 18) for a special live performance.
As well as playing ‘Nintendo Blood’ from their first LP ‘Tyranny’, the band also performed ‘Wink’ for the first time on television. The song opened the aforementioned secret gig in LA last month.

Earlier this week, Casablancas gave an update on the latest news about a possible new Strokes album during an interview where he also bemoaned those music fans who just want to “listen to mainstream indie rock”.
“I don’t understand some of those people from the old school who grew up loving The Strokes and are now criticising this new exploration,” Casablancas remarked.
