Julian Cope has just announced details of a 21-date UK tour kicking off in October.
The Arch Drude – who features in a 55-minute TV special on BBC2 on Saturday (June 24) based on his best-selling book about ancient stone circle sites in Britain, ‘The Modern Antiquarian’ – will perform songs spanning his career combined with spoken-word reminiscences.
He has described the 100-minute show as: “Wah-wah electro-acoustic guitars, 20 years of rock ‘n’ roll stories, fluorescent mellotrons, triumphs and failures on platform boots”.
