Old school rapper KRS-ONE and reggae legend TIPPA IRIE have signed on for the new JURASSIC 5 album.

The rap outfit are currently working on the follow-up to last year’s ‘Quality Control’ album in Los Angeles, with a March 2002 release scheduled.

Speaking about the KRS-ONE collaboration, the star revealed: “When we wrote the

song, which is tentatively titled ‘The Show’, we were like, ‘Wow, KRS would be dope on

this song.’ We just got finished putting it together. It’s an honour, an extreme

“I’m a reggae fiend,” said Chali 2na, explaining how Tippa Irie came onboard.

“To be able to participate in something like that was incredible for me.”

Jurassic 5 will also team up with Run DMC for a combined live performance as part of the Breathe breast cancer benefit at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on October 27. Also performing are Third Eye Blind, Seal, Deftones, Sugar Ray, Crazy Town, Nikka Costa and Julia Fordham.
