Bieber is now the most awarded Artist in MTV EMA History
Justin Bieber collected five awards at this evening’s (October 25) MTV 2015 Europe Music Awards.
Bieber – who also performed his hit single ‘What Do You Mean?’ at the Mediolanum Forum, Milan – took home gongs for Best Male, Best Look, Best Fans, Worldwide Act: North America and Best Collaboration for his work with Skrillex and Diplo on ‘Where Are You Now?.
Other winners included Rihanna (Best Female), Ed Sheeran (Best Live Act), Coldplay (Best Rock) and One Direction (Best Pop). Taylor Swift picked up the award for Best Song with ‘Bad Blood’ featuring Kendrick Lamar, while Best Video went to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for ‘Downtown’. Duran Duran were honoured with the first ever MTV Visionary Award.
It was Sheeran who served as host alongside actress Ruby Rose. Live performances, meanwhile, came from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who gave a rendition of ‘Downtown’ and Pharrell Williams, who played ‘Freedom’. Andrea Bocelli sang his classic ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ before joining singer-songwriter Tori Kelly for a cover of Pink’s ‘ Learn To Love Again’.
Bieber is now the most EMA awarded artists of all time with 17 gongs, beating Eminem’s 15.
