Justin Bieber stops gig mid-performance to complain about TV cameras being in his face – watch

The singer was appearing on 'The Today Show'

Justin Bieber stopped a US TV performance halfway through as he felt the cameras were too close to him.

Bieber was appearing on The Today Show earlier this week, performing his new single ‘What Do Yo Mean?’, when he appeared frustrated by the proximity of the television cameras.

“The camera’s there the whole time, I might as well not even dance,” the singer was heard saying. He added, “What do I even do this for if they are just going to…” before the producers cut to an ad break.

Justin Bieber recently scored his first ever UK Number One single with ‘What Do You Mean?’, at the same time breaking both the UK and Spotify global records for the most first-week streams.

The UK streaming record is only a month old, having been set by One Direction for ‘Drag Me Down’ last month. The figure is a cumulative one, based on numbers from Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Google Play and others combined.

The single also topped the record for most single-week streams on Spotify, achieving nearly 22 million listens globally between its release on August 28 and September 4.

The single sold a total of 84,000 copies in its first week. ‘What Do You Mean?’ also reached Number One in the American charts.
