Justin Bieber deletes Instagram account after Selena Gomez accuses him of cheating

Pair dated from 2010 to 2013

Justin Bieber appears to have deleted his Instagram account after a public spat with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Bieber and Gomez dated from 2010 to 2013. He is now reportedly dating Sofia Richie, the 17 year-old daughter of Lionel Richie.

The former couple exchanged heated messages online after Bieber hit out at fans for sending abuse to his new girlfriend.

After posting a series of selfies with Richie to Instagram, Bieber threatened to make his account private unless fans stopped sending hateful messages.

“I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate, this is getting out of hand,” he wrote, adding: “If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”

Gomez later weighed in on the dispute, posting a comment to Bieber’s Instagram that read: “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love and supported you before any one ever did”.

Bieber soon hit back at Gomez, writing: “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love.”

The disagreement escalated when Gomez publicly accused Bieber of cheating on her when they were together. She wrote in a comment: “Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. All love.”

Bieber then appeared to deactivate his account. When accessed, the page currently reads: “Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.”

Meanwhile, Bieber has made headlines with his icy behaviour towards fans in recent times, recently telling a fan that he didn’t want their “shit” gift during a gig, while also rejecting a fan’s attempt to hug him. He has also stopped doing fan meet-and-greets, calling them “depressing”.
