Justin Bieber to attend Christian church event in Sydney

Justin Bieber is reportedly set to attend a five-day Pentecostal church event in Sydney.

The Hillsong Church conference runs from Monday (June 29) to Friday (July 3) at the Allphones Arena in the Australian city. Three conferences are held annually, with other legs taking place in London and Kiev.

Bieber recently arrived in Sydney, being photographed at Sydney International Airport on a private jet on Monday morning. The church have confirmed the star’s appearance as a “delegate” of the church.

A statement from the church reads: “People come from across the world to Sydney each year to attend Hillsong conference. Justin is here – like tens of thousands of others – as a delegate who is seeking to build stronger foundations into his life”.

“He is not participating in the conference in any other capacity. Out of respect for his privacy we will not be making further comments.”

Bieber is thought to be attending the event with his girlfriend Hailey Baldwin, whose father Stephen Baldwin is known for his Christian evangelism.

TMZ recently reported of Bieber hanging out with Hillsong pastor Joel Houston in Hollywood.

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber’s manager recently compared the pop star to Bob Dylan, saying he believes both artists have undergone similar transformations in their careers.

Scooter Braun, who also manages Ariana Grande, spoke about his most famous client in a new Billboard interview.

Of Bieber’s move away from the teen pop, Braun said: “It’s like Bob Dylan. He pissed people off, but whenever he switched, he reinvented himself in a way that made him who he is today.”
