The singer was due to team up with John Cena at last year's SummerSlam event
It’s been reported that Justin Bieber has discussed the possibility of a cameo in professional wrestling federation, WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment).
Bieber – who was recently pictured hanging out with boxer Floyd Mayweather (see photo below) – is alleged to have held talks with the sports entertainment company last summer.
Wrestling blogger Kevin Eck reports (via Fact) that the pop singer was due to appear at the SummerSlam event in Los Angeles during August 2014, teaming up with wrestler John Cena. However, bookers had reservations that Bieber’s negative public image was at odds with Cena’s popularity with fans.
“To address that concern, the creative suggestion was that Cena would become increasingly annoyed by Bieber in the weeks leading up to the match, but Big Show, who would be portrayed as Bieber’s friend, would repeatedly play peacemaker,” Eck writes.
Eck added: “It certainly wouldn’t surprise me to see Bieber do something with WWE at some point.”
Justin Bieber recently settled out of court with a photographer who claimed he was assaulted by the singer’s bodyguard in 2013. The settlement between Bieber and photographer Jeffrey Binion was confirmed following an incident outside a South Florida recording studio two years ago. Attorney Mark DiCowden confirmed the Terms of the agreement are confidential.
A warrant for Bieber’s arrest was recently issued in Argentina. A judge issued the warrant after stating that the singer failed to respond to a summons which related to an accusation of assault dating back to 2013.
